CATIA is a multi-use, multi-platform CAD software suite that was first released in 1977. CATIA was developed by the French company Dassault Systemes, who also produce the DraftSight and SolidWorks programs. CATIA stands for Computer Aided Three-Dimensional Interactive Application. CATIA was written in the C++ programming language and is available for the Microsoft Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
